COACHES and STAFF

Our coaches and staff have both ice and roller hockey experience totaling over 30 years. Our goal is to give not only our own kids, but ALL kids a chance to be a part of the sport that shaped us, created life long friendships, and gave us confidence that has shaped us on and off the rink.

RYAN GRANIAS

HEAD COACH

I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old. I started with floor hockey, then moved on to roller and ice. I have played every position in my years, splitting my time almost equally between the goalie and skater positions. I have coached both goalies and skaters over the years, and still play both currently.

I have benn playing hockey since I was four years old. The first time I put on roller blades, I was obsessed. I made my dad take me anywhere and everywhere to play hockey, vacant parking lots, side streets, I played there. When I finally made it to an actual roller hockey league, I was hooked. I have over 25 years of both ice and roller experience, and have made life long friends along the way. We all come to the rink to have fun and compete, but everyone stays to hangout and bond. I would like to help every child that wants to play roller hockey to have the chance, and to be able to experience the team building and family that comes with it.

I came up with the idea to start a youth roller league, because I see the love and passion my husband has for it. We started our son in ice hockey but I hated that it was too expensive, too exclusive, and too unattainable for us, and many other families. We searched for a youth roller league for him, but the only available league in Illinois, is a tournament team. They travel all over, year round, and that was impossible for us too. This League is for everyone, whether you're competitive, or just for fun. We just want you to love roller the way we do.
